The Alberta Library Online (TAL)

It’s hard to imagine that our tiny library supports three different interlibrary loan systems but we do! One of those is The Alberta Library online or TAL online for short. According to the website, TAL users can search the catalogues of 300 Alberta libraries, 20,000 worldwide libraries and open web resources such as Project Gutenberg and HathiTrust. Materials are delivered to the library of your choice and can be returned to ANY library in Alberta. Did I mention this is FREE for every resident of Alberta? That’s right, it’s free, you simply need the right card. Get your card from us in the Keyano Library (Keyano staff and students) or from the Fort McMurray Public Library on MacDonald Island.
